The Campaign tRail

The Campaign tRail was our latest interactive exhibition at the Parliament of Sustainable Fashion. It took place during the "Community Play" event organized by A Place to B(z), a fantastic initiative that's all about turning unused city spaces into hubs of cultural exchange. Their goal is to create human-centered spaces that champion independent culture and non-commercial creativity.

The event was part of Bolzano Art Week 2023, and it brought together various local initiatives on a creative journey into action. For our part, we showcased the clothing from the Desktop Jam workshop and the sustainability arguments behind these garments. We even played the audio from our debates on a loop.

Passers-by had the chance to get up close and personal with the garments, listen to their stories, and vote on which one they thought was the most sustainable. The voting booth concept has been a hit in previous exhibitions, and it's a great way to involve people and hear their perspectives. It's true that not everyone gets to experience every story, but what matters most is that people feel like they have a say in shaping the PoSF and the discourse around sustainable fashion.

Another exciting element of The Campaign tRail was a poster explaining the different sustainability attributes of the PoSF, complete with easy-to-understand explanations. We encouraged folks to show their support by choosing a sticker that represented a sustainable fashion quality found in one of the garments they were wearing and sticking it on their clothing. It's a fun way to make people feel connected to the cause and engaged in the world of sustainable fashion.

PoSF serves as an inclusive platform that welcomes and honours all approaches to clothing care and sustainability. In this collaborative space, we aim to empower ourselves and eachother through our garments, questioning the idea of agency and autonomy.
